UVO-C DEGREASER AND DEODORIZER
Gastronomy, food industry
Typical applications for this equipment include the hospitality industry (HoReCa), commercial kitchens, fast-food restaurants, open kitchens, and the food industry - places where fats and oils are heated, and grease-laden air causes buildup in the exhaust duct system, posing an odor problem for the surrounding environment.
Operating principle
Even highly efficient aerosol separators are unable to filter out all aerosols from the exhaust air in the kitchen. This leads to deposits in the exhaust ducts and on the fans. These deposits pose a dangerous thermal load (fire hazard) and, in addition, cause unpleasant odors, leading to repeated complaints from tenants. To avoid these consequences, we recommend using our UV equipment to treat kitchen aerosols.
Our equipment is designed to be installed outside the exhaust duct, so that the UV lamps do not come into direct contact with grease-contaminated air. The kitchen exhaust fan draws air from the area surrounding the equipment and channels it through the unit into the air duct. The broad-spectrum UV lamps, located in the reaction chamber, generate a large amount of ozone from the oxygen in the air at a wavelength of 185 nm. The ozone molecules exiting the R-FILTER equipment and entering the air duct oxidize the grease and odorous substances, breaking them down and simultaneously generating harmless substances. The kitchen exhaust duct remains clean, free of grease, and free of unpleasant odors.
Advantages of using the equipment:
- Suitable for both new and retrofit installations
- Quick and simple installation on any air duct, through a single diameter 100 mm perforation
- Degreasing and deodorizing without chemicals
- Significantly reduces grease deposits in kitchen exhaust ducts
- Mechanical filters and activated carbon filters do not need to be cleaned or replaced as often
- Increases the lifespan of extraction fans
- Enhanced fire safety
- Minimizes the odor of air exhausted into the environment
- Reduced environmental impact
- Ozone destroys all types of microorganisms in the exhaust duct, preventing the proliferation of bacteria and their entry into the kitchen
- Silent, automatic operation
- Low maintenance and operating costs
- The ozone-generating tubes have a long lifespan and maintain their efficiency, as they remain outside the treated airflow
- Stainless steel housing, no corrosion risk
