UVH 50

The UVH photocatalytic disinfectant and odorless air purifier with motion sensor have been specially designed to disinfect and deodorize the air in crowded and heavily used public spaces.
This innovative device can be used in any room (restrooms, bathrooms, saunas, locker rooms, workshops, high-traffic service areas, gyms, and lodging facilities) where we want to filter out and neutralize microorganisms, unpleasant odors, and odors that are harmful to human health. By removing bacteria and viruses from the air, we also prevent them from settling on surfaces and spreading through contact.

Principle of operation

The R-FILTER UVH-50 fan-type air purifier effectively neutralizes bacteria and viruses in indoor air and eliminates odors. The air purifier combines the synergistic effects of two technologies.

PCO (Photocatalytic Oxidation):
The indoor air circulated by the built-in fans passes through the device, coming into contact with the photocatalytic plates. The plates are illuminated by UV light, which activates the catalytic plates and creates highly reactive hydroxyl and superoxide ions. These attack airborne pollutants, such as most organic contaminants (bacteria, viruses, mold, and odors), and destroy them through oxidation.

UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation):
The germicidal or bactericidal lamp used is a special UV-C range light source. Short-wave ultraviolet radiation in the UV reactor chamber of the device destroys the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, killing them.

Holes have a strong oxidizing effect, while electrons have a strong reducing effect. Highly reactive hydroxyl radicals (·OH) are formed from water in the air’s humidity, while superoxide radicals (·O2-) Reagents are formed from oxygen in the air. Odorous substances in the air are broken down, and microorganisms are destroyed by damaging their DNA structure, leaving behind only carbon dioxide and water, which are expelled along with the purified air. The titanium dioxide coating does not wear out and remains functional indefinitely.
