The UVE photocatalytic disinfectant and deodorizer has been developed for disinfecting and deodorizing heavily used and stressed public areas.
Public spaces, offices, medical waiting rooms, food industry and other commercial establishments, restaurants, hotels, laboratories, smoking rooms, toilets.
The device can be used anywhere we want to eliminate viruses, bacteria and unpleasant odors that are harmful to health.
Photocatalysis takes place at normal temperature and humidity, without the need for special operating conditions.
The device can be wall-mounted or placed on a stand.

Principle of operation

It is well known that surfaces coated with nano-TiO2 exhibit a self-cleaning activity when exposed to sunlight. We also use titanium dioxide-coated surfaces, photocatalysts, in our wall-mounted air purifiers, but in this case we illuminate the surface with ultraviolet light.
Two technologies work synergistically in the air purifier.

PCO (Photocatalytic Oxidation):
Indoor air circulated by the built-in fans passes through the device, coming into contact with the photocatalytic plates. The plates are illuminated by UV light, which activates the catalyst plates and creates highly reactive hydroxyl and superoxide ions.
UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation):
The germicidal or bactericidal lamp used is a special UV-C range light source. Short-wave ultraviolet radiation in the UV reactor chamber of the device destroys the DNA and RNA of microorganisms, killing them.

The TiO2 coating mentioned above is a semiconductor which, when illuminated with light of a certain wavelength, causes electrons (e-) to be released into the conduction band, leaving holes (h+) in their place.
